PogoBot

PogoBot — RF & functional testing.

    For every board you build.

A factory test station built for your circuit board. We specialise in RF testing for IoT products and full functional testing, with firmware programming and every unit’s results in the cloud.

One board in. A clear result out.

The operator loads the board. PogoBot runs the agreed sequence. Your team can review the results from anywhere.

    1. 01

      Factory operator

      Load the board

Place the assembled board in its custom fixture. Spring-loaded pins connect to the board’s test points.

    2. 02

      PogoBot

      Program & test

Program firmware and run the RF and functional checks defined for your product.

      Read pass or fail

See whether the board passes the test sequence. Set failed boards aside for investigation.

      Your engineering team

      Review the results

Look up unit records and follow production trends in Insyght Console, without being at the factory.

Follow a board through the process.

    RF expertise. Full functional coverage.

An IoT product needs working electronics and working wireless connectivity. We design the production test setup around both.

    RF testing for IoT products

Build radio testing into your production workflow. We define the RF test setup, measurements and limits around your product and its wireless technology.

    • BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, cellular and GNSS/GPS test requirements
    • Product-specific radio checks and signal simulations where needed
    • Repeatable RF measurements as part of the production sequence

    Full functional testing

Go beyond checking that a board powers on. Exercise the functions your product depends on, in one defined test sequence.

    • Power supplies and current consumption
    • Sensors, inputs, outputs and communication interfaces
    • Firmware programming and product-specific pass/fail limits

Your factory tests. Your team sees the results.

The fixture and cloud platform work together. Review individual unit records, firmware versions and production trends from your own desk.

    • Trace a result back to an individual unit
    • Review pass rates and measurement trends
    • Use recorded results to investigate production problems

Example only. Tests and recorded fields depend on the agreed setup.

You can build 100. Can you build 100,000 reliably?

At scale, quality depends on a repeatable process. PogoBot programs each board, runs the agreed RF and functional tests, and records the results so your team can track quality as production grows.

PogoBot is typically worth discussing from around 500 units per year. The right timing depends on test complexity, manual effort and your production plans.

    Scale production. Keep testing consistent.

Start with the capacity your product needs. Add test stations as volume grows, with the test setup reviewed against your required throughput.

    Your board. Our test engineering.

    Getting your setup into production

    1. 01

      Define the test plan

Share your board design, firmware needs and production volume. Together, we define the RF and functional checks.

    2. 02

      Build the fixture & sequence

We develop the board-specific fixture and programming and test sequence, then validate the agreed setup.

    3. 03

      Test at your factory

Put the station into the production workflow. Operators run the sequence; your team follows the results in Console.

Keep your engineers focused on the product.

An in-house jig can work well. It also needs test software, programming tools, RF equipment, data logging and maintenance. With PogoBot, you have one partner for the agreed test setup.

    • Less infrastructure to develop

Bring fixture design, test sequencing and cloud records together.

    • Specialist RF experience

Include the wireless checks and signal simulations your IoT product needs.

    • A path to more capacity

Plan additional stations as production grows.

Before you put it on the line.

Is PogoBot a custom jig for our circuit board?

Yes. The fixture fits your board’s layout and test points. The complete setup combines that fixture with the agreed firmware programming, RF and functional test sequence, and results in Insyght Console.

Do we test every board or take samples?

The intended workflow tests every production board using the agreed sequence. Coverage depends on the test plan: testing every board does not mean every possible defect can be detected.

Can you simulate GNSS signals and test GNSS receivers?

Yes. We can include GNSS signal simulation and receiver testing in your production test setup. This lets us test your product’s positioning functions under controlled, repeatable signal conditions. We agree the scenarios, checks and pass/fail limits for your product.

    Can you test LTE connectivity?

Yes. LTE testing can be part of the RF and functional test sequence for your IoT product. We define the relevant radio bands, connection checks, test conditions and equipment around your product, with agreed pass/fail limits.

Can you test Bluetooth and BLE products?

Yes. We can include Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) testing in the production sequence. The RF and functional checks are defined around your product’s hardware, firmware and intended use, so each board is tested against the same agreed limits.

    Can you test Wi-Fi products?

Yes. We can include Wi-Fi testing alongside programming and the other functional checks. We agree the relevant bands, connection and RF checks, test conditions and pass/fail limits for your product.

    Can you test LoRaWAN products?

Yes. LoRaWAN testing is possible, alongside other IoT radio technologies. We define the required checks, equipment and signal conditions around your product.

What does full functional testing include?

We develop a test plan for the functions your product needs to perform. That can include power and current checks, sensors, inputs and outputs, communication interfaces and radio functions. The exact coverage and limits are agreed for your board.

Can our manufacturing partner use it?

Yes. PogoBot is intended for use at the manufacturing site after board assembly. Factory operators run the test workflow, while your engineering team can review recorded results remotely.

Does it perform mechanical stress tests?

The usual PogoBot scope is electrical, RF and functional testing of assembled circuit boards. We can discuss separate custom fixtures for mechanical stress testing.

Does it make sense for a 100-unit pilot?

A pilot is a useful time to define production testing, especially if a larger run is planned. Whether to introduce a station during the pilot depends on test effort and expected volume. Around 500 units per year is a starting point for a conversation, not a minimum order.

    Let’s talk about your board.

Tell us what it does, which radios it uses and how many you plan to build. We’ll discuss a test setup for your production process.
